Every Day Grace
I feel very blessed that God has put Kylie in my life. We've been through some challenging times, especially recently, and we even went separate ways for awhile because of some things I needed to deal with and grow through. It's been a tough road at times and there's still a lot of work ahead, but God - through his mercy and grace - has recently given us another chance to renew & restore our relationship. Such a gift, and I'm so thankful. I'm excited about the road ahead.
Yesterday we took advantage of the killer weather and went down to the Dallas Railway Museum for a birthday party for her friend Laura's one year old son and then up to the Cottonwood Arts Festival to check out and stalk some featured photography artists.
Here's a few images from the day.
Too funny. We saw this sign painted on several of the vintage train cars, and I'm sure it has some kinda technical meaning to anyone who knows anything about trains, but we thought it was too funny to pass up. Hmmm... early 20th century subliminal Christian values marketing, maybe?? Kidding!

We are THRILLED to see the Lord bring you two back together! COME VISIT US IN OHIO.... SOON - Mike and Amanda (and Reagan!)
Love the "Do not hump" pic! Haha, I am cracking up right now. She is beautiful, oh yeah, and so are your pictures.
:) Gina
Purdy girl!
Gorgeous pics, you clearly love your subject! It was great to see you both and I am glad you were able to get some good shots at the train museum! We're praying for y'all!
Wow--she's super-duper cute. So happy for you!
I am so happy for the two of you. God blessed your prayers and time apart with wisdom and grace. I know your future will be blessed too!
I can feel your happiness in each picture. You deserve it, never forget that! I know from experience how powerful prayer is. . . And when things are tough remember, stress is like the tension on a violin string. Too little and there can be no music. Too much and the string snaps. Go make some music! :)
Kylie looks like the girl in the "fake" photographs that come with the picture frames when you buy them! Beautiful-----
I wish I could say something as profound as your friends here, but they have had some pretty amazing things to say. I couldn't come close. But I will say that you two make a BEAUTIFUL couple. I'm so glad that our God is a God of many chances. :)
Now, I have to ask. Photo 6, the one right above the "anti-humping" one. (heehee.) How on earth did you do that? The lighting is amazing.
Thanks to all of you for the well wishes.
Paula, the 6th image was taken in mid day sun, but Kylie was standing between two railway passenger cars, so she was in shade but had open sky behind her (the blown out white) and open sky in front of her to provide the soft lighting. Hope that helps!
I agree with Paula about the comments your friends have left. You have an amazing support group there!
My husband and I are a second chance couple and we've been married for 15 years, together for 20. I believe our hard times only made us appreciate (respect) each other more and made us stronger together. I hope you'll be able to look back and say the same about you and Kylie. : )
P.S. I think you should share your photo secrets more often!
OK, that makes sense. The effect is stunning and I just couldn't wrap my brain around what was going on there. I would have never figured that out on my own. Thank you for sharing the details.
matt, we just returned from the beach - so happy to read this! what wonderful news. i hope that your souls have reconnected like never before. god is on your side - you guys have a bright future ahead, not to mention you make such a pretty couple. she's adorable! i'm very happy for the two of you :)
